Following the success our Twilight training sessions for professionals around bereavement and loss we are pleased to confirm the next available date:

Wednesday 29th November, 5-8pm – A theoretical and practical introduction to supporting bereaved children and young people.  Cost £50 per person.

Bunyip Beads Jewellery Activity

A small group of children supported by Balloons took part in a jewellery making activity at Bunyip Beads, Exeter on Saturday 13th May.  It was a lovely session and the girls loved the necklaces and bracelets they made.  We look forward to repeating the activity again soon.  It was also really wonderful to look around the shop and get lots of inspiration for new creative interventions we could use with young people.

On Thursday 14th April staff from Naomi J Ryan estate agents and Kinderkare nursery held a family fun day for Balloons in Princesshay.  The day, which featured face painting, Easter craft activities, a lucky dip and Build-a-Bear raffle was great fun and we were lucky with the sunshine. Tall Ships Activity Day sponsored by The Exeter

Balloons and The Island Trust joined forces for an incredible day of sailing from Plymouth Yacht Haven for teenagers supported by Balloons on Saturday 8th April.  A huge thank you to local insurance company The Exeter who sponsored this activity day and covered the cost of taking 10 young people out on the yacht Tectona for the day.  We had glorious sunshine and smooth sailing.  Everyone got the chance to steer the yacht and raise the sails.
