We offer face-to-face support for children, young people and young adults aged 5-25 years who will soon face the death of someone significant in their lives, or who have recently experienced a bereavement. For children aged 3-5 we provide support to the carer or a person in a caring role of the child, such as in a Children’s Centre.  Please read below for more information about our referral criteria.

Phone support

Balloons offers a dedicated phone line to provide support and guidance to parents, carers and professionals who are in contact with grieving children and young people.

Our Family Worker offers guidance in how to support children and young people, and will also provide relevant information via post or email to assist in this support.

The office is not continually manned. However, all messages left on the answer machine will be responded to as soon as the message is heard.

If you would like to know more, have a potential grief-focused situation that you would like to explore, or would like to discuss a current concern, then please contact Liz Cook, our Volunteer Coordinator and Supervisor on 01392 826064.
