Handing over the baton.

Balloons is supported by a trustee board of 12 volunteers who bring different
skills, expertise and knowledge to govern our work. This month we are saying
goodbye to Steve Bright who has been our chair for the last 5 years.

Steve has brought a wealth of experience and has supported Balloons
through the pandemic, through changes to the board membership,
transition to a new CEO and has been a fantastic support to the whole staff
team – thank you Steve! We are delighted to announce our new Chair,
Charles Pallot who joined the board earlier this year and will be taking on the
Chair role.

Charles says: “I was very proud to have been invited to become the new
Chair, having met CEO Nicky Clarke, outgoing Chair Steve Bright and the
other extremely dedicated and hard-working staff and Trustees. I look
forward to working with them, and all members of the Balloons volunteer
family, to provide bereavement and pre-bereavement support to as many
children and young people as possible in our area”
