Grief Support Worker Conference 2024

Last week, we held our annual Grief Support Worker conference – a wonderful chance for staff and volunteers to come together to share, learn and try new things! We had some fantastic input from play therapist Heather Jenkin, who gave a fascinating talk on neurodiversity and bereavement in childhood.

We also held a games session, trying out and sharing knowledge of some of the resources we use in grief support sessions and had some mindful-fun with a pottery workshop led by Chris Taylor from Pebblebed Pottery.

This year, our regular story time slot was done by our own volunteer Trudi Goodridge who has just released her book ‘The Grief Goblin‘ – an amazing story and another fantastic resource for supporting bereaved children! We are so grateful to all who came and would like to say a special thank you to South West Police Compassionate Fund for hosting us in their lovely venue.
